Freelancer Life: Flexibility at Its Finest

Currently working from my dining table… or, let’s be honest, my couch. No fancy office space or coworking desk here—just me, my laptop, and a lot of questionable posture decisions. But when the opportunity arises to step outside, it feels like a mini celebration!

This morning, I indulged in the freelancer’s luxury: picking an outfit as if I’m heading somewhere important, hopping on my bike, and navigating through the morning rush to meet a friend for breakfast. The highlight? Sipping coffee in the morning sun, leisurely enjoying my meal, and people-watching as the 9-to-5 crowd pedals furiously to their offices.

It made me pause and reflect on one of the best perks of freelancing—the freedom to create our own schedules and embrace these little moments.

As a remote worker, the possibility of finishing my shift and being home, it’s awesome. I am shocked of the amounts of precious time we waste to deplaceto the work place , when you end up being more efficient at home. I am not saying that 100% remote work is the best for mental health and work relationships, but for sure is the best when having to balance your personal and professional life.

I completely resonate with this! One of the greatest joys of freelancing is the freedom to shape my day around what truly matters to me.

Recently, I’ve been embracing the flexibility of freelancing by starting my mornings early with a slow cup of coffee while gazing at the ocean. I’m lucky enough to live right in front of it, and I like to go downstairs and sit on a bench alone with one of my dogs (the other one is still sleeping :joy: ), soaking in the calm before the sun rises. No rushing, just taking my time to ease into the day. It’s incredible how this simple routine has significantly boosted my productivity and overall well-being. :sun_with_face:
