If You Had a Year Off with Full Pay to Pursue Any Passion Project, What Would You Create?

Imagine this: You’ve just been granted a full year off from freelancing, with your regular income guaranteed. No client deadlines, no invoices to chase—just pure, uninterrupted time to focus on a passion project of your choice.

What would you dive into? Would you finally write that novel, develop a groundbreaking app, launch a nonprofit, or travel the world documenting unique cultures? Maybe you’d create a massive art installation, learn a new skill, or build something completely new that you’ve always dreamed about.

I’d like to hear what you’d do with this dream scenario! Share your passion project ideas and why they mean so much to you. Let’s inspire each other to think big and maybe even find ways to start those projects now, little by little!

I was laid off with three months garden leave a few years back; that’s when I decided to start writing that book I had always dreamt about writing. Those three months got me roughly half way. If I once again got to take time off with full pay I would definitely spend that time finishing my book. And since I’m already half way hopefully time would allow for some publishing activities and promo as well. “The year I became a published author” :books: :medal_military: :star_struck:

@lucas.melo what would you do if you had a year to follow a passion?

@cirkeline One year to focus on just one passion? Honestly, the hardest part would be picking one from the list  Whether it’s starting a stock market analytics business or building a LIDAR mosquito air defense system that zaps them with lasers, the possibilities are endless.

I’d probably need 10 years to explore everything I’m interested in! But if I had to choose one, I’d go for something that challenges me—especially if it involves physics or math—and makes a real difference.
