at the login page there is a checkbox “Remember me for a week”.
it never works!
i can login today, and then tomorrow evening it will be again a login page and an email with the login link.

The “remember me for a week” button is famous for not always working as our users would hope, enough so that we’ve written a FAQ on the topic. My colleagues are trying to imitate the bug as we speak, but while they do so please check that you’ve checked all the boxes from the above linked FAQ. If the issue persists then please let me know.
